Research Questions

Have you got as far as you can with your
own Scottish ancestry research?
We are happy to try to solve your problem if you have come to a dead end. At the National Archives of Scotland in Edinburgh there is a wealth of original material which we can access for our research.

There are many other unindexed church records available - if your ancestors have not recorded in the Old Parochial Registers (records of the Church of Scotland) they may have belonged to another church - e.g. Roman Catholic, Scottish Episcopal, Free Church of Scotland, Associate Congregation.

We can also look up the Register of Deeds (which contains many testaments not yet indexed), the Register of Sasines (records of land transactions), Burgh records and many other records which contain interesting information on your family's history.
